| Name: | "Foxie, The Brat" is undoubtedly Mum's "Baby"! He thinks he's a Great Dane and consequently his behavior is like that of a large, self-confident breed. With a body length of ca. 15 - 20 cm, he is totally unaware of how fragile he really is. He is showing a "brave and protective" behavior especially if he is on the arm of his owner!! He is a sweet, little doggie, intelligent and always alert - even moreso when catching flies, grasshoppers and butterflies. He is extremely cheeky to other male dogs by jumping at their face and snapping at their legs. The only male dog he is accepting, is his years long friend "Butchie", a Chihuahua. He is obedient without training and very devoted towards his owners. Being bought very sick on a Sunday market, so small, that he could rest in the palm of a child's hand, he was brought immediately to a vet for treatment and special kind of puppy milk powder but he didn't get well. To try to save his life the owner laid him on the teats of the house pussycat which luckily has had at this time a kitten litter of four. The cat mum and the tiny, sick puppy were from beginning good friends. Gladly, "Foxie" has survived, and has since then all the freedom he wants to have in each aspect. He is a very good watchdog but distrusts strangers - especially vets. More in another chapter. A unique, priceless treasure for his owner and easy going in each way. Just a great doggie sweetheart - loves cats! Hates to be bathed. (Never ever beat a dog - your best friend!) |
