Master Painting - Allegory Of Life - Part 1

ARTWORK FROM 1957 - 2006

Note: JABRO’S multifaceted, impressive and extraordinary works of art are actually based on the artistic creations of her fourteen, most inspiring, inventive ideas and novelties for the fine arts. The fifteenth has been subdivided for the applied arts (14+1A, 1B, 1C, 1D.) represented by four novelties, ©, see below:

1.) “Contrast-Pair”, 1958, ©, # 1, as “two (equal but different) halves of one (reunited) wholeness”, 1958, ©, invention # 1,

2.) “Mother Earth’s Crossed Mouth”, 1962, ©, # 2, “two oppositional positions and meanings of one vertical and horizontal mouth, which are creating multilayered facts after the “cause- and effect” principles with their (il)logical, but in each case effectively upcoming chain-reactions”, 1962, © invention # 2. (Contrast-Pair, ©)

3.) JABRO’S beautiful, somehow organic-sensual, just unique “Multipositional Sculptures”, 1962, ©, # 3, and 1990, ©, are listed here as her invention # 3.

4.) Invention # 4, 1964, ©, means the multifaceted topic of “two half contradictions as one complex”. This symbolic philosophy was personified by JABRO in form of her sculptured masterwork, “Couple or: The Kiss”, created in 1964, ©. 
Those “two oppositional halves as one complex”, © , are here representing genders’ two half side-parts of a face creating within one complete frontal face, that means, the female’s left hand side concave face has been created by JABRO in side view, as well the male’s convex face, also shown in side view, but on the right hand side of the sculpture.

To rephrase: Together, both faces in side-view are representing one face in front view as  “doubled in one”, ©.

In addition, if those two side-portraits (alternatively cast in a flexible silicon material) would be “folded up on each other”, somehow it would give one “closed” square block from the outside, hiding inside the contradiction of topic’s concave and convex as “two faces in one face”, symbolising “the beginning of all existence in mother earth’s origin source”. 1964, ©, invention # 4. 5.) “Little Reclined”, 1964, ©, # 5, is one unique female figurine resting in horizontal position on her large cushion tied-together with a wide ribbon and built out of geometrical formations, by demonstrating JABRO’S fifth invention for the fine arts.
New within this interesting masterwork is the combination of two contradictive art-styles of figurative and abstract, personated in only one sculpture. 1964, ©, invention # 5. (“Contrast-Pair”, ©.) 

6.) The non-conforming and multifaceted topic, titled “(Reaching) Over the Given Borders”, is JABRO’S sixth invention, 1964 & 1979, ©, # 6, combined in her sculpture out of liquid wood (= “Little Reclined”) and metal.

This psychoanalytically interesting and multifaceted topic of non-conformism (equal to “(Reaching) Over the (Given) Borders”) can often be found in her “Graphicpaintings”, ©, as well.

7.) So far, JABRO’S very first “Graphicpainting “, 1967, ©, # 7, is also (reaching) over the (given) borders” in a nearly isosceles triangle, ©, # 7, and is titled “Self-Portrait at the Age of Three”, created in 1967 with aid of multilayered wax-scratch-technique = “Graphicpainting”, ©. It has been created by JABRO after a b/w photo from that time, ©.

To rephrase: This very special and self-developed art-style, described by JABRO as “Graphicpainting”, 1967 – 2001, ©, means two oppositional art-styles like “graphic” and “painting” combined in one, by JABRO invented, art-style, such as the “Graphicpainting”.
It is described as the artist’s seventh invention (number # 7) for the fine arts.

In addition, JABRO’S multifaceted and very interesting topic, called by her “(reaching out) over the (given) borders”, (1964/79 & 1967, ©, # 6) is one of the artist’s most favourite themes and frequently used in her masterworks.

8.) The eighth invention, # 8 and # 8A, 1968, ©, of JABRO are her painted or sculptured “principles of actions executed by many artistically realised JABRO contrast-pairs”, ©, # 1. Those actions are working according to the principles of “cause- and effect” and their referring, logical chain-reactions, as JABRO’S invention # 8A.

New hereby was too that the artist has illogically used for her combined blue marblestone-and steel-sculpture, titled “Mouth Forced Open by Aggression Causing Burst’s Vertical Damage”, very hard materials as if they were made out of soft material, such as dough.

This happened, to demonstrate here the impossibility of a nonetheless “functional function”, in regard of the within questioned “cause- and its effect and their chain-(re)actions”.
This function is made visible in JABRO’S here described stone-sculpture’s back and front, as being the suffering victim of the steel spring’s pin brutal impact on it.

JABRO wanted to attach importance to the matter of fact that her, so called, “acting contrast-pairs” of functional and non-functional functions are “vividly alive” in any symbolic and real formations.

That means, the common topics of real things’ understanding in everybody’s daily life are herewith questioned and newly created by JABRO in a logical and illogical cause- and effect- reaction.
 
In this case, JABRO’S stone- and steel sculpture is (as a complex of “two in one”, ©) the symbolic and real personification of her different “contrast-pairs in action”.
So far, that “contrast-pair in action” and its chain-reactions, has been brought to a logical result.

To rephrase: the “predator as actively shunting steel spring pin” and “its suffering victim”, as being the affected “painful chain-reaction” personified in the marble-sculpture’s back and also in its frontal and vertical damage, are in every sense the multilayered topic and foundation of JABRO’S artistic life-work.

Among other psychoanalytically interesting aspects, somehow it expresses too the impact of a helpless opposition towards its contrariness, which is clearly unindebted and unwanted in its extremes of contrasting effects.

Therefore, it is just a logical and illogical matter of fact, that the two hard materials as “two in one” complex have been symbolically justified, but in contrariness materially misused in some way.   

In other words:
The reaction to that direct action of a thrusting and damaging aggression into the “aching” back of the stone sculpture, as well the indirect reaction of its “brutal brunt” on the front, shown by its domed form, which is in the middle of its highest point “painfully bursted” into a vertical mouth, has been such, as if the hard and inflexible stone-material would react to the given aggressions of the steel spring’s pin, as though being made out of soft and flexible dough, 1968, ©, # 8 A.

9.) JABRO’S ninth invention for the fine arts is her “Double-Faced Christ-Sculpture” from 2001, # 9, ©.
It symbolises JABRO’S “contrast-pairs’” multilayered topic of Christian believing in combination with ancient Greek’s mythology regarding the double-faced “Janus-Head” of light, equal to life, and darkness, equal to death.
 
The Christ-sculpture’s second face of death can be seen (*) when clicking on the picture of the sculpture. It will turn “upside-down” allowing you to clearly see the mortal, thus decomposing, human face of Jesus Christ, 2001, ©, #9.

10.) JABRO’S tenth invention is demonstrated on her two “Graphicpaintings”, titled, “Death Mask Frontal and Sidewards of King Frederick the Great”, (series of two), 1974, ©, # 10.
New is that here, two oppositional and totally impossible, but very active movements of life and death are combined in one masterwork.

11.) Already in 1967 JABRO has made her eleventh invention, for the children book market, whereby the main feature is the combination of “fact- and fantasy”, described by her as “artistic children fact- and fantasy books”, 1967 – 1969, ©, # 11.

To that time she has created these two, worldwide unique inventions about themes of scientific technology and science of biology combined in vividly pedagogic and beautifully colourful, but simple fantasy-stories for small children.

They have been invented for her, then little, darling-daughter (two years of age) who was unhappy about the common, but ancient fairy-tales of pedagogically questionable value.

12.) In 1977 JABRO invented the new slogan “For Children and Adults Alike” ©, in regard of her then newest “artistic children foto- fact- and fantasy book”, titled “La Belle’s Great Wish”, 1977 & 1984, ©, # 12.
Within this beautiful and unique book JABRO has given the strong impetus to create a third book market, 1977, ©, # 12A.

# 12 B.

13.) In 1986 JABRO has invented a new kind of white or crème plush teddy bear for children and adults, called by the artist “baby-bear-pair”, 1986, ©, #13. From 1986 -1989, the product received a registered design, which unfortunately wasn’t renewed by JABRO. Her “baby-bear-pair” has got to that time three totally new features and one novelty on the international toy-market, such as:

A.) New body and limb fabric-cut allowing naturally floppy movements as with real little babies, ©,

B.) White-blonde curly wisp of hair sewn into a (seam-) slit on the head’s top between the small, round ears, ©,

C.) Round belly-button from the same plush material, ©,

D.) “transportable bed”, in form of a comfortable, well padded “wrap-cushion”. ©,
In addition, the “baby-bear-pair” has got nice and custom-made baby-wear from the same fabrics like the “wrap-cushion”, ©.
Since then, all the described inventions and novelties connected with this baby-bear-pair, have been uncountably copied for the international toy-markets.

14.) Already in 2005 JABRO has invented one worldwide new concept, such as to photograph several times, but only one person in different positions for one digitally combined photo-collage, as her invention number fourteen # 14, 2005 – 2008, ©.    

So far, that most interesting invention number # 14 has been originated by JABRO for an also worldwide exclusive and beautiful welfare double-calendar for seniors, titled “Celebrate Life – Celebrate Age”, 2009 & 2010, created from 2005 – 2008, ©. (2008 self-published in a small “test-edition” and ready for second and more editions in many languages and countries.)
It has already made history in its unique artistic graphic design and its use of the then latest computer programs. (*)

This gorgeous and impressive welfare double-calendar for seniors is boasting twenty-six (*) digitally combined photo- collages and forty-four text pages.

15.) Since 1981 JABRO has invented and developed her fifteenth invention, # 15, 1981 – 1991, ©, 

To that time, it has been a new style of indirect lighting intertwined with “spotlighting”, by photographing her own antique dolls and antique teddy-bears, as well as her artist-dolls and her artist teddy-bears, in a very special and innovative way, as though they were alive. 1981 – 1991, ©, # 15.

Interestingly enough, one of JABRO’S antique dolls (*) has got seven (!) different light-sources to create the impression of being alive.
Within those unique photographic actions, JABRO brought the nineteenth century’s unknown, but greatly gifted artist’s beautiful creation to its original glory.

To that time, (1981), the commercially photographed antique toys found in magazines, calendars and books, have had mainly too hard and parting impact shadows in their faces, making them overly flat, expressionless and overexposed “discs” furnished with a pair of dead glass-eyes with commonly too large spotlights.

Note:
Since the publication in licence (1985, 1988, 1989, 1990) of JABRO’S bestseller calendars, which have each been sold out in a few weeks only, the artist’s new photographic style has been uncountably times copied!

So far, JABRO’S new style of photographing antique- and modern artist toys has also included to create for them a “natural” photographic environment with beautiful scene-arrangements out of everyone’s daily life during the seasons. (*)
