“The Purple Sail” in connection to “Dedication to A. Paul Weber”. January & February 1980. JABRO ©. (Series of TWO) (#*)

This foretelling and fateful work of art is freely based on Alexander Grien’s romantic fairytale "The Purple Sail".
In addition, it is also based on a portrait-photo made about a hobby-captain travelling on his ship in the harsh northern hemispheres.

He opposes the cold sea-breezes by keeping warm in a blue padded, water-tight anorak and a dark-blue skipper-cap.
Interestingly enough, the photo’s background shows another ship, but here driven on by entirely uncommon “Purple-Sails”.

After all those intertwined happenings, one is not any more wondering, wether the many - within connected - events occurred just by accident or have to be seen as the foretelling signs of a sad and unjust, but self-inflicted fate.

However, contrary to the master’s negative, but to 99% true forecasting of JABRO’S exploited and stressful life together with this man, plagued with long-term effects by horrendous war-experiences as a young and abused boy, there still have been a few very good moments too of deep love and understanding for each other. The best of all certainly was the birth of the “Contrast-Pair’s” mutual and youngest love-child, (*) which happened nine months after the marriage (of thirty-three years) has taken place.  It was finished only by the passing away of the “Hobby-Captain”, but this time on the background’s surreal dream-ship with Alexander Grien’s “Purple Sails” leading forever into the spiritual and thus better world.

 So, it’s just a fact that the rare combination of the hobby-captain on his ship, together photographed with the background’s other ship driven by the rarely seen “Purple Sails”, must be accepted as a strange quirk of destiny.

 Therefore, one can believe (or not) that Alexander Grien’s beautiful fairytale (depicted in the happenings of the described, but very unusual colour photo) hasn’t been misused as a “mind-trapping” and clever staged plan for directing the artist’s romantic dreams into the pre-planned direction! Right? Not so sure?

After all, it’s absolutely possible to manage people’s unconscious minds and the within connected dreams, hopes and desires into each direction the referring “puppet-players” are wanting to. That’s also factual in view of any fairytale’s topic, as well regarding the sense and analytical interpretation of its symbolism.

But that’s another story to narrate about!

 Interestingly enough, the within connected, but ignored, warning-symbols from the subconscious mind are intertwined with JABRO’S other foretelling artwork like her unique and genuine "Dedication to A. Paul Weber", February 1980. (*)

Those warning-symbols are consequently interconnected with JABRO’S inventions for the fine arts, such as:

1.) "The Mishap-Raven" shown as "Picture in (quadratic) Picture", by "Reaching out of the Given Borders",

2.) "The Christian symbol of the “Ringing Warning-Bell", is drawn as an indispensable remembrance of the nearer past, which is most darkened by two unspeakable-gruesome and dreadful world wars and their deadly, spiritually never to be forgiven sins of bestially murdering millions of the innocents.

Such impressive ringing Christian symbol of the warning remembrance must be seen here as Apocalypse’s threatening reapplication, (*), in URGENT need of essential changes to a better world!

The bell’s warning “TONGUE” is partly hidden behind the pictorially visible SECOND eye symbolising at the same time the spiritual, thus invisible THIRD eye positioned in the forehead/brain of each human being.

In other words, the “Warning Bell” is symbolically fixed on the left hand side and the right hand side by two hooks in right ankle formations. (*) They are impressionistically drawn as rectangular blocks, seen more often in JABRO’S masterworks.

(* By the way, JABRO is the opinion that left- und right  wing dictatorships are in the same way disgusting, since their inhumane topics are against the  dignity of man as GOD’S very own creation.) 

Because of that narrowing and firm “left- and right wing fixation”, symbolising the oppressed human spirit, mind and body, the movements of the symbolised warning-bell are restricted in two directions only, such as fore- and backwards. Those two narrowed movements are typical for human DNA’S inability to think and act in a “roundabout” manner.

This genetically based fact is impressively documented by human beings of past and present in the permanently repeated history of positive developments’ superstruction and the oppositional negative destructions of their very own and other nations’ civilisations if their climax has been surpassed.

3.) “The framed Crying Female Face", is presented as "Picture in the Picture", by "Reaching out of the Given Borders".

4.) The Symbol of the "Crossed Mouths" (Mother Earth) is repeatedly pictured as JABRO’S “CONTRAST-PAIR”.  

The huge mouth, horizontally positioned in the red sails, is crossed in its corners by two vertically fixed sails, each of them shown in mouth-formation.                                        Tears, as within connected symbols, are also woven (partly hidden) in the structure of the "Purple Sails".)

5.) The two dominating, large eyes (*), accompanied by the mortal captain’s but cerebral “third eye”, are part of the spiritual and frontally positioned large face woven into the red sails. 

Symbolised as the spiritual and mortal JANUS-DOUBLE-HEAD, it is irreversibly intertwined with the materialized captain’s lateral view.                                  

In addition, the here shown “three materialized, visible eyes” are also the symbols of the three spiritual and invisible eyes with one of them placed into the framing triangle of the JANUS double (side-) portrait.

The multifaceted topic of this spiritually unusual and foreseeing JABRO lithography must be analysed in different ways.

One of them is pin-pointing on the triangle’s bottom line, which is separating the JANUS (side-) head from its back. One of the three tips of this very triangle is reaching up to the JANUS head’s back line, by enclosing the human visible “cerebral- and at the same time the invisibly spiritual eye”. (*)

Enclosed are also the common mortal human attributes of dwarfishness in earthly mortality.

The sidelines of this triangle are sharply drawn under the skipper-cap and behind the ear.

(* This time the symbolic “third eye” is not positioned in the middle of the triangle, but in the left bottom corner for being nearer to the “second, visible eye”. It is representing too and to the same time the third, invisibly spiritual eye positioned in the forehead/brain of each human being.)

That means, the triangle, as the symbol of Christianity’s autocratic men-churches, like "Godly Father & Godly Son & Godly Holy Spirit", is here also to discover openly and sometimes hidden too in most of JABRO’S masterworks.

This one-sided gender dominance of the Christian Church-institutions is a questionable fact to be wisely and diplomatically changed to a better sense of genders’ equality.

In other words, since unconstructive accusations only are all, but helpful in view of a bigger and more positive picture of Christian believers’ equality, it is important that women, as the more multilayered gifted and somehow more principled other equal part of the “Contrast-Pair’s” complexity, will be supported by men being too an equal part of the whole complexity of contrasts.

Therewith, women are able to unfold all their many given, but suppressed gifts and talents for the benefits of the Christian believers worldwide.

In regard of those essential changes, the origine plain and great message of CHRIST must become again the reformed spiritual materialization and documentation in Christianity’s self-image and conception as the highest spiritual and social culture at its best.

Having been since more than two thousand years the religiously and morally indispensable source of Western high-tech civilisations’ development, Christianity at its best must be preserved now for a better world today and tomorrow’s future.

This must happen without using armed forces, but with belief in the spiritual and cerebral power of most positive persuasion only.

Such important changes should become real in closest connection and cooperation with the “Developed World’s” greatest and most responsible spirits being supported by the enlightened and therefore insightful population of each developed country.

Herewith is given a greater guarantee for the survival of the indispensable, but must-to-be reformed and advanced Christianity, which is positively intertwined with all responsibly and progressively lead high-tech civilisations of the “Western World”.

Then, within those positive survival-strategies, all those successfully reformed high-tech civilisations will have culturally-social and spiritually-ethical benefits reaching into the next Millenniums.  

That means, the negative and dangerous undermining of Western World’s high-tech civilisations (by third parties and their alien cultures) are self-inflicted through money-hungry, ruthless Western business corporations, which must become effectively and wisely embanked, as well now future-orientated newly managed in the essential instinct of self-preservation.

This must happen with much more responsibility for the own and other cultures too, contrary to boomerangs’ carelessly forced flight hitting in return the throwers!

Summarizing, the eye as "window to the soul" is commonly the symbol for POSITIVISM, like mind’s alertness, great intellect and joyful, lively spirit. But, in fact, there are opposite meanings too….

(* In repetition: One of the two large eyes is positioned (left hand side) in the middle sail of the ship’s THREE (*) sails and the other large eye (on the right hand side) is woven into the skipper cap’s front/forehead, symbolising at the same time the spiritual "THIRD Eye", positioned as an omnisciently warning reminder in the forehead/brain of each of us humans.

After all what happened the last thirty-three years, regarding the mentioned and, in fact, fulfilled foreseeing prognoses given to each other by both spiritually gifted artists, the entire topic of this fateful stone-print from January 1980, as well the other forecasting message from February 1980, titled “Dedication to A. Paul Weber”, can be alternatively downsized to one denomination only, such as:
"Intertwining of Curse and Blessing", ©, as one of JABRO’S many and most controversial
